Do I need perfect credit?
No. Many down payment assistance programs work with credit scores as low as 580 — and some have no minimum at all. ZeroDownScout shows you programs that match your actual situation.
What if I've never owned a home?
First-time buyers are the primary audience for most DPA programs. If you haven't owned a home in the last three years, you likely qualify for even more programs.
Is there an income limit?
Most programs have an income cap, but it varies widely by area — and it's usually higher than people expect. Many programs allow household incomes up to 120% of the area median, which can be $100K+ in many cities. The matcher will tell you exactly which programs you qualify for based on your income.

How is ZeroDownScout different from other home-buying apps?

Do you sell my information?
No. Your phone number and SMS consent are never sold, shared, or transferred to third parties for their own marketing purposes. The only people we share your info with are the lenders you specifically ask us to connect you with. Full details in our Privacy Policy.
Why does the form ask for my phone number?
Phone is optional. If you provide it and check the SMS consent box, we can text you about programs you qualify for. If you skip it (or don't check the box), we'll only email you. SMS opt-in is never required to use the service.
How do I stop receiving texts?
Reply STOP to any message we send and we'll remove you from SMS immediately. Reply HELP for help, or contact us directly at [email protected] or (313) 631-8277.
What types of messages will I receive if I opt in?
Two types. Informational: updates about programs you qualified for, application reminders, and educational content about homeownership. Promotional: occasional offers and tips related to down payment assistance. Message frequency typically 2–6 messages per month. Msg & data rates may apply.
